After joining the National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell Program in late 2024, IHOP needed to revamp their kids’ menu to allow for mixing and matching entrées, sides, and beverages. They also needed to refresh the games and puzzles on the back of the placemat-style menu, which called for new illustrations.
In an effort to bring more of IHOP’s ownable, iconic imagery into the menu, I found an old Happy Face pancake mascot IHOP used in the 70s and created an updated, modernized illustration.
